To complete the year we are revisiting all four quarters of the year plus adding a year end wrap up! As usual you can sort the spreadsheets by column – ESRB, Cost, Platforms, and more – to help you with your acquisitions!
January to March
The list of games released from January to March of 2024 is 115 games. There are 48 games available for the PS4, 63 available for the PS5, 32 available for the Xbox One, 46 games available for the Xbox S|X, 49 games available for the Nintendo Switch, 2 games available for iOS, 4 games available for Android, 9 games available for MacOS, and 83 games available for Windows. The average cost of games released this quarter is about $36.19. The ESRB breakdown is 14 games rated E, 14 rated E 10+, 42 rated T, 21 rated M, 3 whose rating is still pending, and 19 games which did not receive an ESRB rating.

April to June
The list of games released from April to June of 2024 is 155 games. There are 77 games available for the PS4, 88 available for the PS5, 64 available for the Xbox One, 75 games available for the Xbox S|X, 96 games available for the Nintendo Switch, 13 games available for iOS, 13 games available for Android, 21 games available for MacOS, and 141 games available for Windows. The average cost of games released this quarter is about $30.63. The ESRB breakdown is 25 games rated E, 24 rated E 10+, 60 rated T, 22 rated M, 1 whose rating is still pending, and 23 games which did not receive an ESRB rating.

The list of games released from July to September of 2024 is 263 games. The list of games released from October to December of this year is 226 games. After combining the lists for all four quarters and being deduplicated the Voltron-like annual list of games released is 715 games. There are 317 games available for the PS4, 426 available for the PS5, 256 available for the Xbox One, 371 games available for the Xbox S|X, 425 games available for the Nintendo Switch, 62 games available for iOS, 59 games available for Android, 90 games available for MacOS, and 639 games available for Windows. The average (mean) cost of games released this year is about $31.18, with the median cost being $24.99 and the mode being $19.99. The ESRB breakdown is 122 games rated E, 113 rated E 10+, 257 rated T, 124 rated M, 6 whose rating is still pending, and 93 games which did not receive an ESRB rating.
