Call for Proposals- GameRT Mini Conference

We’re back for another year!

GameRT is looking for presenters for its 2024 one day, online, mini conference to be held in March. This year’s theme is building character. We welcome presentations on all aspects of character building, from character creation in tabletop roleplaying games to character menus within video games to developing social and emotional learning (SEL) skills through play and community. We are interested in presentations that connect character, both inside and outside of games, to libraries and community building, whether the focus is on readers’ advisory, collections, programming, or education.

Proposals should explicitly state their relevance to libraries/community building, but presenters don’t need to be a librarian or GameRT member to present. Presenters will be asked to give a fifteen-minute presentation, with a question-and-answer session after.

The deadline for proposals is end of day February 25, 2024. To learn more and/or submit a session proposal follow the link.

If you have any questions about the process or want to learn more please send an email to gamert@ala.org.
