Videogame prize donations for libraries anywhere in the world! Thanks, OnePlay!
Last year, videogame e-lending and distribution platform OnePlay generously donated one-year individual subscriptions to libraries all over the world, for the libraries to give away as prizes in their events. These subscriptions are worth around $100/year, and entitle users to download and play a huge range of videogames on demand.
Pretty great prize for the gamers at your IGD events, right?
Well, OnePlay are back! They have once again generously offered to donate a code for a one-year subscription to their service (whose collection has only grown since last year, making the prize even more awesome) to any library that contacts their CEO, Lasse Jensen, at lasse@oneplay.com. Just send a message to that address from your library email address, and you’ll receive your code!
And keep an eye out for their library subscription service… they don’t only offer e-lending themselves, but have a library subscription that enables library services to offer patrons access to a sizable subset of their PC and Android games collections, including a wide variety of simulator games. Given that we in libraries currently have huge technical issues in supporting our patrons’ access to these important media, it’s a chance to correct a sizable gap in our collections.
Thanks once more to OnePlay for supporting games in libraries in general, and IGD@yl in particular!
